This episode is specifically for Mac users – I’m recommending an app that lets you pull up application shortcuts quickly. I love shortcuts, but I tend to forget them even though they make my life a lot easier and save me from making excessive key strokes.
- If you look at it from a one-year perspective, if you save a couple of key strokes per task, you’re saving a lot of time. [01:40]
- I came across a product called CheatSheet today, it’s a free app that lets you press down on the command key, and an instruction box comes up with the relevant shortcuts for that particular app. Â [01:49]
- For example, I love to use it for Google Chrome and Evernote – it’s a huge time-saver, and the fact that it’s free makes it even better. [02:07]
This episode is for people that specifically used Macintosh computers. What Iâm about to recommend is a little app that allows you to pull up shortcuts quickly. For me, using Google Docs or when Iâm using Chrome, whatever app Iâm using, I always like to see the shortcuts. An I tend to forget form time to time, just because, sometimes you use shortcuts for a long time or thereâs just too much stuff going on. But, the shortcuts help me, when Iâm opening new tabs, for example, command + T, command + W to close things. It just makes my life a lot easier so I save myself from having to make extra keystrokes. It stresses me out when I have to do extra things and overtime, if you look at it over a year, if youâre saving a couple of keystrokes per task, youâre saving a lot of time at the end of the day.
I came across this product today called Cheatsheet and all you need to do is Google âCheatsheet for Macâand itâs a free application that will basically allow you to, when youâre using whatever application, just press and hold command for a little bit and then an overlay will come up or a module will come up with the shortcuts for the specific application that youâre using. I just pull it up Google Chrome right now and do the same for Evernote as well.
To have something like this is a huge time saver. The fact that itâs free makes it even better.
So again, Google âCheatsheet for Macâ and you will find yourself saving a lot of time and you can thank me later.
